In Cardboard Blox Builders, kids bring their imagination to life using cardboard, art supplies, and creative building skills, all inspired by the world of Roblox! Students design and construct their own mini worlds, structures, and characters, experimenting with shapes, colors, and creative problem-solving. This hands-on course encourages artistic expression, engineering thinking, and playful collaboration, giving kids the tools to turn simple cardboard into fun, interactive creations. Perfect for young builders who love to create, design, and bring their ideas to life.

Join other players in a fun, supportive space to learn, play, and grow your chess skills! Whether you’re brand new to the game or already an experienced competitor, this club is the perfect place to sharpen your strategies, meet new friends, and enjoy friendly matches. Instructors from Twin Cities Chess Club, with years of teaching experience, will guide students through lessons, practice games, and exciting challenges. All skill levels are welcome! Open to youth in Grades K–12.

Private lessons for Cooper Students ONLY* The instructors, James Buxton & Dan Wanamaker will contact you to set up dates and times of your chosen sessions. Mr. Buxton offers 30 minute voice lesson options at 2, 4, 6 and 8 lesson packages. James has an active studio comprised of high school and college level young artists. His studio boasts many university graduates and active professional singers. Students of James Buxton have been accepted into some of the nation's premier music schools such the Juilliard School of Music and the Boston Conservatory. Former students include graduates of the Boston Conservatory (Music Theater); the University of Minnesota Music School; University of Iowa; St. Olaf University; and Concordia (Fargo-Moorehead) University. Mr. Wanamaker offers 30 minute piano lesson options at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 11 lesson packages. Dan Wanamaker is a Minneapolis-based pianist, singer, and composer. He loves playing piano for singers, and enjoys uniting voice and piano to create an artistic expression that is greater than either of them alone. He holds a Master's degree in Piano Performance from Minnesota State University-Mankato, where he served as a Graduate Assistant accompanying the MSU Concert Choir and voice studios. At MSU, he accompanied the recitals of four vocalists and gave two solo piano recitals. He now serves as a collaborative pianist accompanying voice students at Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. He is the pianist for South Metro Chorale in Prior Lake, MN, and Beer Choir Twin Cities. He plays organ for Mount Olivet Home (Minneapolis) and sings in the Minnesota Renaissance Choir. He enjoys singing early music, playing 20th-century piano music, and composing baroque-style counterpoint. Prior to his graduate program, he accompanied for the Apollo Male Chorus (Minneapolis) and the Menomonie Singers in (Menomonie, WI). He has sung with MPLS/imPulse, Gregorian Singers, Apollo Master Chorale, Popup Choir, the Cathedral of St. Paul Choir (St. Paul, MN), and the St. Clement's Episcopal Church Choir (St. Paul). * If your child receives funds from ISA, Booster, etc., you will need to call us at 763-504-6990 to register. You MUST have funding APPROVED and in a specified ACCOUNT at CHS to qualify to use these funds. We will contact the school to make sure, if you do not have funds you will be expected to pay the full amount upon registration. Scholarships do not guarantee full funding of the courses. Students need to bring: Folder/binder, sheet music, and pencil *Please enter through the Performance Art Door 8. The instructor will be letting students in for their session times.

Costume & Character Design is a creative drawing-based enrichment for students in grades 6–9 who love art, storytelling, and visual design. In this course, students learn how to design original characters and costumes by sketching outfits, accessories, and details that reflect personality, mood, and story. Young artists explore concept drawing techniques, character development, and visual storytelling while building their own unique designs. Perfect for students interested in illustration, fashion, animation, or game design, this class builds artistic skills, creativity, and confidence—bringing imaginative characters to life one sketch at a time.

In Craftopia, kids in grades 6–9 unleash their creativity through hands-on art and craft projects that turn imagination into reality. From painting and sculpting to DIY crafts and creative design, students explore a wide range of techniques while expressing their unique style. This course encourages problem-solving, artistic expression, and confidence, all in a playful, supportive environment. Perfect for kids who love to create, experiment, and make their ideas come to life.

razy Chemistry is a playful, hands-on enrichment course for students in grades K–2 that turns curiosity into discovery. Kids will explore basic chemistry concepts through safe, exciting experiments and interactive activities designed just for young learners. From colorful reactions to hands-on mixing and observing, students learn how science works by doing it themselves. This class encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of science in a fun, supportive environment. Perfect for young scientists who love to ask “what happens if…?” and get their hands a little messy while learning!

In Creative Clay & Play, kids in grades K–5 explore the world of art and sculpting through hands-on clay projects. Students shape, mold, and create everything from fun characters to imaginative sculptures, letting their creativity take center stage. This course encourages fine motor skills, artistic expression, and problem-solving, all while having fun with textures, colors, and forms. Perfect for young artists who love to play, create, and bring their ideas to life.

Creature Dex Creation is a creative enrichment course for students in grades 3–5 who love imaginative worlds and collectible creatures. Inspired by the idea of building your own Pokémon-style universe, kids will design original creatures from scratch—thinking about appearance, abilities, habitats, and personalities. Through drawing, writing, and creative design activities, students will build their own “Creature Dex,” strengthening artistic skills, storytelling, and critical thinking along the way. This class focuses on creativity and originality while tapping into kids’ love of creature collecting and world-building—perfect for young designers and storytellers ready to invent something entirely their own!

Food becomes a doorway to cultural diversity as you learn practical kitchen skills to create fresh pasta, flavorful egg rolls, samosas, and sauces. The class offers demonstrations, hands-on cooking, tastings, daily lunches, desserts on the final day, and concludes with a culinary diploma.

In Cupcake & Cookie Creations, students in grades 6–9 will dive into the sweet world of baking and decorating! Kids will learn basic baking skills, explore fun decorating techniques, and bring their delicious ideas to life with cupcakes and cookies. This hands-on class encourages creativity, patience, and confidence in the kitchen — all while making tasty treats to enjoy and share. Perfect for aspiring bakers who love to create and indulge!

Tyrannosaurus Rex, Triceratops, and Diplodocus... is your child dazzled by dinosaurs? This is your child's chance to have a playdate with a dino and create a fantastic work of dinosaur art. This is a great class for siblings to attend together! *Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child.

Join Batume for a 6-week drumming program! Students will have the chance to learn foundational drumming skills, practice techniques, and experience the joy of playing music together. This is both an enrichment activity and an opportunity for students to build confidence, rhythm, collaboration, and focus.

Dungeon Builders Workshop: Design Edition is a creative art and design enrichment for students in grades K–5 who love imagination and adventure! In this hands-on class, kids design their own fantasy dungeons by drawing maps, creating characters and creatures, and designing themed rooms filled with surprises. Students build artistic skills while exploring creativity, storytelling, and visual design in a playful, age-appropriate way.
