    In CODE & CREATE, students in grades 6–9 combine coding and 3D design to bring their ideas to life. They’ll learn fundamental coding concepts while designing and personalizing unique trinkets using a 3D printer. From concept to finished product, students will plan, problem-solve, and iterate on their designs, gaining hands-on experience with technology, digital design, and creative expression. By the end of the course, each student will have independently created original 3D objects they can proudly showcase.

  • Adult Conversational Spanish: Beginner Part 1

    This is an online class and will be held through Futura's Zoom account. An email with login information will be sent prior to class. Be sure you have a current email on file with us. Always dreamed of learning Spanish or refreshing your high school Spanish? Then this class is for you! The primary focus of the class will be on building conversational tools in Spanish through interactive practice and exercises. Vocabulary topics will include common greetings and introductions, pronunciation, numbers, food, clothing, likes and dislikes. Grammar topics will include subject pronouns, the verb estar conjugation, gender of nouns, and plurality. Participants will learn how to carry on small conversations in Spanish and each class will include interesting cultural anecdotes including Spanish word origin, dialect differences, and names in Spanish. *Ability to access zoom and basic working computer knowledge essential.

Intermediate Spanish is specifically designed for the adult learner who has taken some Spanish in the past but wishes to improve conversational skills. Grammar and vocabulary concepts will include present tense AR verb conjugation, infinitive verbs, future tense with the verb IR, adverbs of frequency, useful prepositions, and more. Participants will practice conversation skills including learning how to make plans and discussing preferences in Spanish. Culture discussions will cover holiday traditions and celebrations in Spanish speaking countries. Like all Futura classes, a dynamic interactive approach will be used to keep the class fun and exciting! Applicable to new students and previous Beginner Spanish Part 1 and 2 conversation participants. Ability to access zoom and basic working computer knowledge required.

Intermediate Spanish is specifically designed for the adult learner who has taken some Spanish in the past but wishes to improve conversational skills. Continue building on previous Spanish skills to further develop conversational abilities. Real life scenarios and role playing in Spanish to ensure an interactive learning environment. Participants will also delve into more complex grammatical instruction and vocabulary to create full sentences in Spanish. This will include present tense conjugation with ER & IR verbs, sports, and workplace vocab.

    Continue with this hands-on class where you will install single pole and three-way switches, outlets and light fixtures. We will discuss proper installation of light fixtures and ceiling fans. * Prerequisite: You MUST be or have been enrolled in the Basic Home Electrical Class.
  • Adventure Club School Age Care

    Adventure Club school-age care serves students Kindergarten through grade 5 and is located at all elementary schools throughout Robbinsdale Area Schools district. We are open 6:30AM until start time and from the end of school until 6PM. Registration for the 2025-2026 School Year is open. There are waitlists at all locations. Summer 2026 registration opens 2/18 at 6am. Registration for the 2026-27 School Year opens April 29th, 2026 at 6am. Please see our website for more information.

  • Adventure Club Workshop/Flexible Learning Days

    Robbinsdale Area Schools has three flexible learning days scheduled and Adventure Club will be providing care for Kindergarten-5th grade from 6:30am-6:00pm at 6 locations. Daily learning rotations, outdoor activities and Adventure Club's choice based programming is the schedule for the days. We are unable to provide specialized care and have a 15:1 student to staff ratio.

  • Amigurumi Crochet

    Start learning amigurumi, the Japanese art of crocheting or knitting stuffed animals. Learn the magic ring, color changes, no-sew tricks, and new stitches. Great for beginning crocheters who know the basics (like holding your yarn, chains, simple stitches, etc). There is no guarantee you'll master everything in the class but you'll go home with the yarn and patterns for all three projects. A $7 material fee is paid to the instructor at class via cash or Venmo. Purchased supplies include fiber-fil stuffing and yarn for these projects: the chicken, the pig, and the ice cream cone plus small bits of yarn colors for facial details on the pig and chicken. You Bring to class: Hook: recommended size between 7mm - 8mm. It can be a metal or plastic hook - both work fine with this type of yarn. Stitch marker: cheap ones available but definitely bring your own if you have a preference Scissors that can cut your yarn Upholstery needle - for weaving in your loose ends Pen/pencil and paper for note taking

  • Armstong High School Private Voice Lessons

    * This is course is only available for Armstrong High School Students. This is not open for public registration. Private lessons for Armstrong Students ONLY* The instructor, Patty Kramer or Nathan Bird will contact you to set up dates and times of your chosen sessions. Ms.Kramer offers both 25 minute lesson options at 4, 6 and 8 lesson packages. Nathan Bird offers 25 minute lessons at 8 lesson packages Please see below for more information on each instructor. Instructors Name - Patty Kramer Bio: Patty Kramer (mezzo-soprano) is a private voice teacher and performer livin’ and thrivin’ in the Twin Cities area. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), a Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH), and is ABD (all but dissertation) with a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before moving to the Twin Cities, Patty worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Voice for Peru State College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln teaching applied voice and Musical Theater Studies. She also worked as a vocal coach for the Broadway Academy in Sutton, NE for five seasons. Nowadays, you can find Patty working at Westminster Presbyterian Church as a section leader, singing with the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers, coaching at VESOTA (VocalEssence Singers of This Age), or teaching voice lessons at AHS. Her favorite hobbies include reading fantasy novels, playing with her two cats, trail running with her husband Eric, and consuming copious amounts of cold brew coffee and dark chocolate. Instructors Name - Nathan Bird Instructor Bio: Nathan Bird, tenor, is a Minneapolis-based performer, concert producer, choir director, clinician, and voice teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from University of Northwestern-St. Paul and a Master of Vocal Performance degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. As a singer in choral, musical theater, and opera settings, his performance credits have included the International Opera Theater, Cantus, Guthrie Theatre, Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, the Distinguished Concerts International New York, and the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ holiday concert series with his annual production of 'A Three Tenors Christmas'. Collaboration and creativity are pillars of Nathan’s music career, as seen in his recordings with the guitars of The Massif Trio, his concert productions that have been experienced and appreciated by tens of thousands, down to goofy songs he creates with his four kids. When he’s not singing or spending time with family, Nathan loves being out in nature, evidenced by his 40-mile solo backpacking adventure on the Superior Hiking Trail (SHT) over a weekend in July '24 and trail running a half marathon at Theodore Wirth Park, and his 25k at William O'brien State Park, September of '25. * If your child receives funds from ISA, Booster, etc., you will need to call us at 763-504-6990 to register.   • Art in Bloom at the MIA

    Take in the floral beauty of this annual exhibit then enjoy a soup and sandwich lunch at the Hen House Eatery on Eat Street in Minneapolis! Don't worry about the traffic or parking, our coach bus will drop you off at the front door! Art in Bloom at the MIA (Minneapolis Institute of Art) is an annual fundraising event sponsored by “Friends Of The Institute”. Enjoy imaginative floral interpretations of selected works of art from the MIA's permanent collection, created by more than 100 commercial florists and individual artists. Guests are invited to experience the floral fragrance throughout the museum. Browse floral-inspired merchandise in the Art in Bloom Pop-up Shop. This is a self guided experience throughout the campus. There is a Gift Store and a Café. Have lunch at the Hen House Eatery in Minneapolis. Menu: A Cup of Soup made from scratch daily, a Chicken Salad Sandwich, Beverage and Cookie. Registration deadline Monday, March 23 - No refunds will be give after this date.
