Square Dancing/Round Dancing offers music, friendships, mild exercise and lots of fun. We dance at the Mainstream level (lowest or first level) on the second Friday of each month during the school year and welcome all current Square and Round dancers. Sumi-e Japanese Brush Painting Explore the ancient practice of Japanese Sumi-e, a unique style of black-ink brush painting on paper. Join other Sumi-e painting enthusiasts and practitioners for a morning of painting and calligraphy, sharing techniques and learning from one another. The Sumi-e group welcomes both those with experience in Sumi-e ink painting as well as beginners. For beginners we provide instructions and materials for use in class, to get started. Join us to develop your brush painting skills, and experience the peaceful and elegant art forms of Japanese calligraphy and Sumi-e painting.

One adult and one child, ages 5-17. Register under the child's name. Eggrolls and samosas are flavorful appetizers you can make with your family for years to come! Make a variety of egg rolls, samosas and dipping sauces with your favorite cooking kiddo. These appetizers are jammed with flavors from around the world and can be a quick way to incorporate leftovers into something new and fun to eat. What is sharp? We discuss choosing kitchen knives, different knife steels, and the pros and cons of each. We will talk about how a knife becomes dull and how to sharpen, care for and store your knives, and we'll discuss and practice the various knife cuts. *Please bring your own knives to work with. Kyudo, Japanese longbow archery, has a long tradition in Japanese history in both militaristic and ceremonial venues. Today's Kyudo is a non-competitive, introspective process to shooting that helps to focus one's mind and body on the simple act of shooting a bow. Parent participation is required for those under fifteen years old.
