Dog Obedience and Behavior: Level 1Hobbies & SkillsDiscover how to teach your dog a sense of self-calming, self-control, attention and desirable house and social manners. Behavior modification is a science and applies to all animals, regardless of age. Learn to use basic cues such as sit, down, stay, leash skills and come with both hand and voice signals. Our goal is to help you gain or build a trusting relationship with your dog and learn when to meet them in the middle. *Max 6 dogs per class. **Classes are held inside a heated building.** *No dogs on the first night of class. The first class is for the human end of the leash only. ***Your dog must be up-to-date on both Rabies and Distemper Combo (if under 6 months, bring in updates as they are obtained per vet). Bordetella is not required, though strongly recommended. For everyone's safety, dogs will not be allowed into class until we have proper proof of their vaccinations.*** Other supplies such as treats and leashes will be discussed during first week during orientation. No dogs the first week. **If you believe your dog is aggressive or fearful, one-on-one sessions will be more appropriate for you. Dog Obedience and Behavior: Puppy KHobbies & SkillsPuppy Socialization is about much more than meeting other dogs and people. It is about positive experiences with introductions with sounds, textures, people, dogs, and other items they may come in contact with in their lifetime. We give your puppies the opportunity to interact with lots of different items at their pace. We also teach the human end of the leash how to be sure introductions go positive at home as well. Main topics covered are crate training, potty training, husbandry, mouthing/teething, socialization, and appropriate puppy play. **Classes are held in a heated building at the park location** No dogs on the first night of class. The first class is for the human end of the leash only so we can be sure to set our dogs up for success and safety the following week. Please email proof of your dog's updated vaccine information to your instructor Jen Warner @ JenniferxWarner@gmail.com before the 1st day of class.
