Hobby Group - Story Theater
Hobby Groups Meet with others who share your passion. All abilities welcome. All groups are self-directed. Bring your own supplies. Story Theater For over 25 years we have been showing children that reading is fun! Explore dramatic reading and learn techniques of reading with expression. Attend two meetings per month to rehearse stories then perform in our elementary schools and other community locations. No Fee. Meets the 2nd and 4th Mondays each month, noon-2:30 pm, in the Performance Center at Pilgrim Lane. -
Kayak Adventures
Kayaks are easy to use and a great way to traverse the famous Minneapolis waterways. Join us as we meander from Cedar Lake through Lake of the Isles to Bde Maka Ska. After a stop for lunch (included), we will paddle back to Cedar Lake. Open to all abilities. This is a great opportunity if you have never been in a kayak! -
Trailside Maintenance Clinic - NEW!
Learn what to do when your chain falls off or you have a flat or another mechanical failure while on the trail. Hands on, bring your own bike. We'll be outside near the Luce Line trail, so dress for the weather. Tools, tubes and expertise provided. -
Tune Up Your Bike for Spring - NEW!
Before you head outside for your first ride of the season, spend time getting your bike ready for the road. Learn critical bike maintenance tips and fixes including how to clean your bike, make simple adjustments, and where to lubricate your bike. Areas of the bike that will be discussed: tube and tire service, chain cleaning and lubrication, cable tension, bike washing and safety inspection. Bring your own bike to work on.
