Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction (MBSR) is for anyone who experiences stress in their lives and would like to manage it better. Most of each class is devoted to experiential learning. Various mindfulness practices are introduced and developed throughout the 8-week class including sitting meditation, walking meditation, gentle movement, a body scan, and home practice recordings. Melissa is a committed practitioner of mindfulness meditation and has completed extensive training through Brown University's Mindfulness Center/School of Professional Studies. Melissa believes mindfulness can inspire individuals to trust their own body wisdom, goodness, and wholeness, discovering ways to respond to stress with their inner resources that lead to increasing vitality and joy.
