    Barre Fusion is a mixture of ballet, Pilates, yoga and strength. The music is modern and we meet you where your body is at.     No prior experience is needed! In this in person class basic vocabulary, grammar, pronunciation, intonations, sentence structure, formation & grammatical concepts.     Discover the beauty and grace of Middle Eastern Dance, commonly called Belly Dance. This is more than an exercise class. Belly Dance is an exciting way to improve fitness, tone and flexibility. This class is for beginners and the more experienced students looking to improve the basic techniques and movements. Previous dance experience is not necessary. All ages and sizes are welcome. *Wear comfortable, fitted clothing so your movements can be seen. Hip scarves are encouraged and welcome. If you have zills and a veil, bring them too! January 21 – Cafesjian Art Trust Museum Presentation Join staff from the Cafesjian Art Trust Museum (the CAT) to learn more about this new modern and contemporary art museum located in Shoreview, MN. We will discuss the museum’s origins, its unique art collection, and what’s coming up next. We will also study several key artworks from the museum’s current exhibition Collidoscope: de la Torre Brothers Retro-Perspective, on view at the CAT from October 17, 2025 to January 31, 2026. April 16 – Hear from Clyde Doepner, the official curator of the Minnesota Twins and the only full-time curator in Major League Baseball. He’ll share incredible stories and showcase unique Twins memorabilia. Register by April 14. May 20 – “Let’s Chat AI” with Gary Spears from Senior Community Services. Learn about artificial intelligence, how tools like ChatGPT are used today, their limitations, and what the future may hold. Register by May 18.
  • Crochet for Beginners

    No experience is needed! The instructor will teach starter skills (holding your hook, make a chain, and simple stitches). You’ll also cover yarn basics, crochet tools, popular terms and how to read simple patterns. *Note: The class will work toward making cotton washcloths and coasters. Everyone learns at a different pace, so extra practice may be needed to fully master the skills and complete the projects. For the first class, the instructor will be bringing several yarn types for you to try. That way you can figure out what you like before deciding if you want to buy an acrylic yarn for practice as we move forward. So for the first class please bring: Hooks: Pack of crochet hooks that include two or three hooks that fall between 4-6 mm size. Make sure you check the hook sizing according to the "mm" size (ignore any letter labels). I highly suggest chubbier handles vs the skinnier all-metal ones. Amazon has some really affordable hook starter sets. If you buy a set online, double check the item details for the mm hook sizing - the images can be deceptive.     Is there a woodworking project you would like to make but do not have the equipment? Want someone who could guide you through some steps in the project? Join our woodshop class and learn the operation of woodworking machines. Construct an Adirondack chair, little yard library, or a project of your own! Wood will not be provided. Your instructor will help you make a material list for the project of your choice. *Bring an electric/battery hand drill; wood supplies will be discussed with you the first night of class depending on the project you choose. *Ages 14+ welcome: participants under 18 need to be accompanied by an enrolled adult. *Wood and supplies are NOT included.
