  • Armstong High School Private Voice Lessons

    * This is course is only available for Armstrong High School Students. This is not open for public registration. Private lessons for Armstrong Students ONLY* The instructor, Patty Kramer, Matthew Tintes, Kirsten Hoiseth Thayer or Nathan Bird will contact you to set up dates and times of your chosen sessions. Ms.Kramer offers both 30 minute or 60 minute lesson options at 4, 6 and 8 lesson packages. Mr. Tintes offers 30 minute lessons at 4, 8 and 12 lesson packages. Nathan Bird offers 25 minute lessons at 8 lesson packages Please see below for more information on each instructor. Instructors Name - Patty Kramer Bio: Patty Kramer (mezzo-soprano) is a private voice teacher and performer livin’ and thrivin’ in the Twin Cities area. She received a Bachelor of Music degree from Concordia College (Moorhead, MN), a Master of Music degree from Bowling Green State University (Bowling Green, OH), and is ABD (all but dissertation) with a Doctor of Musical Arts from the University of Nebraska-Lincoln. Before moving to the Twin Cities, Patty worked as an Adjunct Instructor of Voice for Peru State College and the University of Nebraska-Lincoln teaching applied voice and Musical Theater Studies. She also worked as a vocal coach for the Broadway Academy in Sutton, NE for five seasons. Nowadays, you can find Patty working at Westminster Presbyterian Church as a section leader, singing with the VocalEssence Ensemble Singers, coaching at VESOTA (VocalEssence Singers of This Age), or teaching voice lessons at AHS. Her favorite hobbies include reading fantasy novels, playing with her two cats, trail running with her husband Eric, and consuming copious amounts of cold brew coffee and dark chocolate. Instructors Name - Matthew Tintes Instructor Bio: Matthew Tintes is a private voice lesson instructor, performer, and choir director. Originally hailing from Fargo, ND, Mr. Tintes is a graduate of North Dakota State University, earning a degree in Vocal Music Education. Mr. Tintes then attended the University of Wisconsin in Madison, where he earned his Master's Degree in Vocal Performance. For seven seasons, Mr. Tintes was part of the nationally and internationally acclaimed men’s vocal ensemble, Cantus. While with the Minneapolis based Cantus, Tintes got to perform and tour the country, and the world, as well as record several albums, and appear on various popular programs such as A Prairie Home Companion, and NPR’s Tiny Desk Concerts. In addition to his studio of approximately 40 students and directing The Hosanna Choir at St. Stephen Lutheran Church in Bloomington, MN., Mr. Tintes also maintains an active performance calendar, performing with ensembles in and around the Twin Cities. Instructors Name - Nathan Bird Instructor Bio: NathanBird, tenor, is a Minneapolis based performer, concert producer, and voice teacher. He holds a Bachelor of Music degree from University of Northwestern-St. Paul and a Master of Vocal Performance degree from the University of Denver’s Lamont School of Music. As a singer in choral, musical theater, and opera settings, his performance credits have included the International Opera Theater, Cantus, Guthrie Theatre, Minnesota Orchestra, Minnesota Opera, the Distinguished Concerts International New York, and the Chanhassen Dinner Theatres’ holiday concert series with his annual production of A Three Tenors Christmas. Collaboration and creativity are pillars of Nathan’s career, as seen in his recordings with the guitars of The Massif Trio, his production of concerts with his vocal trio The NorrSound Tenors, and his recent pilot Hike and Sing with the Loppet Foundation. When he’s not singing or spending time with family, Nathan loves hanging out in nature evidenced by his 40-mile solo backpacking adventure on the Superior Hiking Trail in July and recent trail half marathon at Theodore Wirth Park. * If your child receives funds from ISA, Booster, etc., you will need to call us at 763-504-6990 to register. You MUST have funding APPROVED and in a specified account at AHS to QUALIFY to use these funds.   • Choose Your Own Adventurer (DnD Camp)

    Choose your Own Adventurer is the ultimate sandbox for D&D character creation. Intended for those with little to no experience in D&D, the workshop will walk students through the process of making their very own character from scratch. Not only that, but players will also have the opportunity to test character ideas and options in actual D&D scenarios. Students will complete the camp with a fully developed character to call their very own, the ability to give their character consistency, and insight into a player's role when playing D&D. When enrolling a minor student, you grant consent for their photography for potential use in marketing, subject to legal rules.
  • Cooper High School Private Voice/Piano Lessons

    * This is course is only available for Cooper High School Students. This is not open for public registration. Private lessons for Cooper Students ONLY* The instructors, James Buxton & Dan Wanamaker will contact you to set up dates and times of your chosen sessions. Mr. Buxton offers 30 minute voice lesson options at 2, 4, 6 and 8 lesson packages. James has an active studio comprised of high school and college level young artists. His studio boasts many university graduates and active professional singers. Students of James Buxton have been accepted into some of the nation's premier music schools such the Juilliard School of Music and the Boston Conservatory. Former students include graduates of the Boston Conservatory (Music Theater); the University of Minnesota Music School; University of Iowa; St. Olaf University; and Concordia (Fargo-Moorehead) University. Mr. Wanamaker offers 30 minute piano lesson options at 2, 4, 6, 8, and 11 lesson packages. Dan Wanamaker is a Minneapolis-based pianist, singer, and composer. He loves playing piano for singers, and enjoys uniting voice and piano to create an artistic expression that is greater than either of them alone. He holds a Master's degree in Piano Performance from Minnesota State University-Mankato, where he served as a Graduate Assistant accompanying the MSU Concert Choir and voice studios. At MSU, he accompanied the recitals of four vocalists and gave two solo piano recitals. He now serves as a collaborative pianist accompanying voice students at Gustavus Adolphus College in St Peter, MN. He is the pianist for South Metro Chorale in Prior Lake, MN, and Beer Choir Twin Cities. He plays organ for Mount Olivet Home (Minneapolis) and sings in the Minnesota Renaissance Choir. He enjoys singing early music, playing 20th-century piano music, and composing baroque-style counterpoint. Prior to his graduate program, he accompanied for the Apollo Male Chorus (Minneapolis) and the Menomonie Singers in (Menomonie, WI). He has sung with MPLS/imPulse, Gregorian Singers, Apollo Master Chorale, Popup Choir, the Cathedral of St. Paul Choir (St. Paul, MN), and the St. Clement's Episcopal Church Choir (St. Paul). * If your child receives funds from ISA, Booster, etc., you will need to call us at 763-504-6990 to register. Our adventures will take us across the Forgotten Realms in search of magic items and lost treasures and working together to escape deadly monsters along the way. Register anytime throughout the school year (price prorated for late start). A snack will be provided, please list any dietary or food allergies in the registration. Fee covers all supplies needed.

  • Floor Hockey

    Join our Skyhawks Floor Hockey program for an immersive experience where young athletes focus on mastering essential skills. From precision stickhandling and accurate passing to powerful shooting, participants dive into the fundamentals of floor hockey. Outside of the game, participants will experience life lessons such as sportsmanship, teamwork, and respect.
  • Nature Detectives

    Someone is stirring up trouble in our park. Things are going missing and strange clues are being left behind. It is up to our camp to solve the mystery through a series of problem-solving activities and games that will keep kids active, learning about the natural world, and using those skills to solve the mystery! This class is a mixture of indoor and outdoor activities, sometimes going off trail so make sure kids dress for the weather and wear closed-toed shoes!
  • New Year's Eve Party w/ Kidcreate Studio

    Send your young artist to class to make all they will need for a fabulous New Year’s Eve celebration. We will create noisemakers, party poppers, and New Year’s Eve hats. What a fun way to ring in the New Year! Please pack a nut free snack and drink for your child.
  • Ornament Making Party w/ Kidcreate Studio

    We’re back with brand new ornaments! Join us for an ornament making party. We will set up 4 stations, each with a different ornament project. You and your child will create adorable wooden Christmas trees, silly gnomes, and so much more! These ornaments will make great keepsakes or holiday gifts! Children must be accompanied by a caregiver.
  • RevSports: Youth Soccer SkillStars (Grades 3-5)

    Enjoy many soccer-based games as your skills progress each week. Instructors use age-appropriate rules to maximize learning and participation. All equipment is provided. Come join the fun with RevSports, where professional instructors are trained to keep kids active, engaged and taught the fundamentals.
  • Robotics Problem Solvers

    Learn basic robotics skills such as; programming, construction, testing, and design while you create robots that solve specific challenge problems generated during the program. You will be using scratch coding and Lego Spike Prime as your tools while problem solving with robotics. You will also be required to design and 3D print one new part for your robot using design software and a 3D printer.
  • Scratch and Sniff Christmas Creation w/ Kidcreate

    Come paint an adorable gingerbread house with a special twist that couldn’t be sweeter- we’ll use concoctions of art materials mixed with super secret ingredients… so our paintings smell as yummy as they look! You’ll have to smell it to believe it! Please pack a nut free snack and a drink for your child.
  • Snow Day STEAM

    Join an EcoElsa educator for a three hour “snow day” full of activities that will get your kids outdoors learning, being active, and having fun! Some activities we may do depending on the weather and snow include snowman relay race, build a better snowball launcher, snow fort engineering, snow poetry, snow science discovery, snowflake art, and snow nature art! Many of these activities are fun things your kids will be able to continue to do at home all winter long! Expect to be outside most of time so dress for the weather!
  • TinkerCAD 3D Design & Printing

    Challenge your creativity by designing 3D objects using Computer Aided Design software and then printing your design prototypes. Learn about measurement, units, & scale while creating your prototyped designs. Attempt to recreate small, functional, full scale, real life objects in addition to your own designs. We will be using 3D printers and CAD software. When enrolling a minor student, you grant consent for their photography for potential use in marketing, subject to legal rules.
