This class will present the proper and legal way to organize your own business in order to preserve personal limited liability and taxation choices. There will be a discussion of the various forms of legal entities including: corporations, LLCs, partnerships and sole proprietorships and the advantages and disadvantages of each. We will discuss taxation choice and how to minimize your self-employment taxes and address issues such as using independent contractors vs. employees, limited liability, and the history of corporations and LLCs.
