Build It! Code It! Move It! all with the Micro: Bit robot and coding platform. Students will construct and code robots to move, sense their environment, participate in challenges, and more using Micro: Bit. -
Tech Academy: Extreme Robotics Battlebots (Gr 3-5)
Let the battles begin! Designed by the experts at MIT, the LEGO® WeDo Robotics system teaches students about simple machines, engineering, programming, and so much more. Students may construct a catapult, ninja star, tank, battle axe, crossbow, and more in this camp! Students will be working in pairs. -
Tech Academy: Intro to 3D Printing & CAD (Gr 3-5)
This 3D printing camp takes students through the 3D printing process from start to finish. Students will design 3D objects using TinkerCAD and the 3D slicing program Cura to bring their creations to life. From industrial design and manufacturing to software and hardware engineering, the 3D printing industry is booming. This course is an excellent introduction to 3D printing and is ideal for students who like to draw, design, imagine, and see their creations come to life. Printing and material fees are included. Students will get to bring home two of their 3D creations. -
Tech Academy: Intro to Coding with Superheroes (Gr K-2)
Create YOUR OWN VIDEO GAME! Love video games? Young students can create platform video games in this incredible class! Choose your storyline with your favorite superheroes as your stars. Add challenges and difficulty levels. Then, share them by email or post them on the web to challenge family and friends. Now, young students can practice math, logic, and programming and put their video game talents to work! Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. -
Tech Academy: Pokémon Game Coding (Gr 3-5)
In this class, we introduce students to programming concepts using Scratch. Learn to create an interactive 2D video game using your favorite Pokémon characters. Scratch is a drag-and-drop creative coding platform developed by MIT. Students will be walked through step-by-step tutorials to create 2-4 working games and animations using popular Star Wars sprites. Basic computer skills are needed (this includes good keyboard and mouse skills). With time remaining, students will be challenged to modify or improve the games created in class. Bring a USB drive to save your games on the last day. -

Tech Academy: Video Production for YouTube (Gr 3-5)
Learn how to create YouTube content! Shoot videos, edit sound, and create an online presence with YouTube. In the first half of camp, learn the tricks pro filmmakers use for better shots, lighting, and sound. You will also learn to use our film editing software in a class project. Then, in the second half of camp, students will work on a group unboxing or product review video. Edit your video, add transitions and special effects, and insert a soundtrack. Finally, share your finished video with the world. Bring a USB drive (at least 8 GB) to save your video on the last day.
