  • Adult Archery

    Come learn about the sport of archery in our 2-part adult archery series! Join instructors from the Outdoor Recreation School of Three Rivers to learn how to safely shoot a compound bow and hone your skill by shooting at stationary targets. Then build upon your newly learned skills to practice shooting from further distances and try out the walk-around course and the raised archery tower. *Participants must attend both dates. Equipment provided. **Signed waivers are required. If the first day of the series is cancelled as result of severe weather, the participants will still meet on the second day of the 2-part series for programming. **A waiver will be sent to you via email. This waiver needs to be signed and brought with you to the first session. Our program will meet at the Elm Creek Park Reserve’s Archery Range – 13387 129th Ave N, Dayton, MN 55327.

    Pickleball is a game played on a court similar to a tennis court, where players hit a wiffleball with a paddle that is slightly bigger than a ping pong paddle. Learn the skills and rules of this fun sport for two to four players. Discover why Pickleball is the fastest-growing sport in America! Sessions are open to all skill levels and abilities. Adults and teens ages 16 and older. Equipment is provided. Program is run by a Rev Sports Coach.

    Aqua Zumba is a low-impact, high-energy aquatic workout that combines the Zumba philosophy with water resistance, offering a fun and challenging way to get a full-body, cardio-conditioning, and body-toning workout in a pool. Aqua Zumba is a water-based workout that incorporates the Latin-inspired rhythms and dance moves of traditional Zumba classes. Benefits: Low impact: The water cushions your joints, making it easier on your body. Natural resistance: The water provides resistance, helping to build strength and tone muscles. Cardio-conditioning: The rhythmic movements and high-energy music provide a great cardiovascular workout. Aqua Zumba is suitable for people of all ages and fitness levels, especially those looking for a low-impact, fun, and effective workout. Bring proper supportive swim attire, water shoes (optional), towel, and water bottle. See you in the pool! Locker rooms will be available, please bring a lock to secure your belongings.

    Barre Fusion is a mixture of ballet, Pilates, yoga and strength. If you have never had a ballet class, you will be right at home as the focus is in the movements and having fun while doing it. The music is modern and we meet you where your body is at. Students are encouraged (but not required) to bring their own mat, light weights and resistance bands. *This class is online and you will need access to a computer or smart device to participate in the class.

  • Bird Watching

    Get up with the morning birds to discover what to look for when identifying birds in the field. Learn about bird diets, calls and other behaviors as well as distinguishing characteristics of bird types while strolling through prairie, woodland and along the river with a naturalist. All experience levels welcome. Binoculars will be available. Program is based out of the Kroening Nature Center at 4900 Mississippi Court Minneapolis, MN 55430 Sept 26: Keep an eye out for fall migrants and learning how a bird’s feathers may change from summer to fall. All experience levels welcome, binoculars available. Oct 24: We will be paying attention to the characteristic flight patterns of different birds as we keep an eye out for fall birds migrating through. Nov 7: Taking advantage of the bare tree branches to observe bird silhouettes and learn to identify certain birds even when we cannot see color or other details.
